What is the reason why the Lotte Giants returned Cho Se-jin and Han Tae-yang early?
On the 16th, Lotte said, “From the second field training in Japan, we will focus on players who will compete in real life considering their physical condition, and five of them will return home early.”
Previously, Lotte had 47 people in the first Guam spring camp. However, from the 20th, the campsite was moved to Japan, and personnel were reorganized to start actual training such as practice matches.
Starting the 2nd spring camp in Ishigaki슬롯사이트, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, they will have a practice match against the Chiba Lotte Marines 2nd Team. Afterwards, from the 27th to March 6th, we will play practice games with KBO League clubs.
The five cutoff players are known as Na Won-tak, Lee Tae-yeon (pitcher), Han Tae-yang (infielder), Jo Se-jin, and Jang Doo-seong (outfielder).
Here, Jo Se-jin and Han Tae-yang, born in 2003, are considered a ‘Lotte promising duo’ in their second year of pros.
They are classified as ‘out-of-power players’ this season because they are scheduled to enlist in the Armed Forces Sports Corps Sangmu Phoenix baseball team in May.
Nevertheless, it seems that the reason why Lotte joined them in the 1st team camp is for the development of individual players’ skills.
Meanwhile, they return to Busan from Guam on the 17th, take a day off on the 18th, and join the Futures Camp in Sangdong, Gimhae from the 19th.
