The San Antonio Spurs have made a potential perimeter addition.
“According to Michael Scotto of Hoopshype, the Spurs have signed Seth Milner (forward, 6-foot-9, 201 pounds).
The signing is a two-way deal, meaning the Spurs have called up all three of their available spots with Milner.
Milner came to the NBA after a prolific college career. He played three seasons in the NCAA with the Toledo Rockets. In 35 games last season, he averaged 16.1 points (.496 .420 .784), 5.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 32.5 minutes per game. He was a tremendous shooter, averaging over 40% from three-point range on the season. He didn’t shoot over 30% from three when he entered the program, but improved each year.
He went undrafted in the 2023 draft. He then played in the Summer League with San Antonio, where he made his mark. However, he didn’t stand out in Summer League. His overall shooting percentage in the Summer League in Las Vegas was quite poor. He averaged just 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds in Summer League. This made it difficult for him to earn a contract.
San Antonio also struggled in Summer League, but with his performance in the NCAA last season, it makes sense that they would want to keep him in the G-League first. Once he’s acclimated to the pro game in the G-League, they’ll give him a limited opportunity with a later promotion. If it works out, he has the perimeter shooting to be a future contributor when the team needs a shot.카지노
In the meantime, San Antonio will be getting ready for the upcoming 2023-2024 season. Training camp is about to begin. The Spurs will begin their preseason schedule on October 10 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Before the game, the players will be working out and checking their breathing.
