The Pittsburgh Pirates swept a three-game series against Kansas City.
Pittsburgh won the final game of the three-game series against the Kansas City Royals 4-1 on Sunday at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
The win completed a three-game sweep and improved the Pirates to 61-73. They need one more win to tie their win total from last season.
After being scratched from the starting lineup, Bae came in to play defense in the bottom of the eighth inning and played the rest of the game in center field. He did not bat.

After Kansas City got a run back in the bottom of the fourth on Bobby Witt Jr.’s solo homer, Zack Swinski answered with a home run to center field in the top of the seventh.
Starter Andre Jackson earned his first win in his emotional big league debut, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.
Ryan Borucki came on in relief with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth and got the other out, while Thomas Hatch, Colin Holderman and David Bednar each pitched one inning.
