American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour Rookie of the Year Cameron Young (USA) will participate in Saudi International, the opening game of the Asian Tour 2023.

The US Golf Week reported on the 12th (Korean time), “Cameron Young, the rookie of the year, has been allowed to compete in a tournament hosted by Saudi Arabia.” Not only Young, but also Cameron Champ (USA) and Lucas Herbert (Australia) were approved.  슬롯사이트

Herbert tied for 21st at the event last year, but Young and Camp have not participated in the competition.

The PGA Tour stipulates that if a member wants to compete in another tour event during the tournament, he or she must obtain approval. Young and others will compete in the Asian Tour PIF Saudi International, which will be held at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia from February 4-7.

Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund (PIF) has invested a huge amount of over 200 million dollars in the Asian Tour since last year, and is expecting it to become a window within LIV Golf. If you win first place in season money in the Asian Tour International Series, you can go directly to LIV Golf. Last year, Scott Vincent (Zimbabwe) won the right to participate in LIV Golf. Also, since LIV Golf has yet to earn world ranking points, the Asian Tour hopes to become a substitute.

Rumors circulated that Young would be going to LIV Golf around August of last year. At the time, Golf Week reported that although Young had received an offer from LIV Golf, he was determined to stay on the PGA Tour. However, less than a year later, he hopes to qualify for the PIF Saudi International. 

There are many players who joined LIV Golf after going through PIF Saudi International. Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, and the previous year’s winner Harold Varner III (above USA) also joined LIV Golf after competing in the tournament. This is why questions are being raised as to whether Youngdo will eventually join LIV Golf.
